Everything you need to know before you visit

It doesn't matter if you have never climbed before or are an experienced mountaineer as everybody is welcome, but it does affect what you can do when you arrive.

How to find us / where are we

Approaching from Cirencester (South):

Take the A429 for Stow on the Wold. Pass through Fossebridge and after a further 2 miles take the turning on the right, just after the garage signposted for Ablington and Bibury. The driveway to the property will be found after a short distance on the right hand side.

Approaching from North:

On the A429 (Fosseway), continue through the traffic lights at Northleach for 1 mile. Just past a large lay-by (on the left), take the left turn before the small garage, signposted to Ablington and Bibury. The driveway to the property will be found after a short distance on the right hand side.

Our facility at Far Peak comprises of ample free parking and camping facilities. The centre is adjacent to some light industrial units so please park your vehicle courteously to allow goods and service vehicles to operate safely.

We host lots of school activity days and large group bookings that sometimes mean our facilities open later than advertised. You can find out about upcoming events that may change our opening hours here:


May 5th: (Bank holiday) We will be open 0900 - 1800

May 22nd: We will be opening at the later time of 1600
May Half term Opening hours:

Monday 14th: 0900 - 1800

Tuesday 15th: 0900 - 2200

Wednesday 16th: 0900 - 2200

Thursday 17th: 0900 - 2200 

Friday 18th: 0900 - 1800

Weekends: 0900 - 1800

If you can climb already, our facilities are open to everyone. What you can do when you arrive depends on your current knowledge and skills.

You can book a TASTER session or a PRIVATE session to suit your needs and budget.

Parking

We have plenty of FREE parking and the car park is situated next to climbing centre and cafe..

Please FOLLOW THE SIGNS and park on the right hand side of the beech hedge (before 5pm weekdays or anytime at weekends).


Vehicles and contents left at owners risk.  CCTV on site.

Legal stuff

When you get here you're going to have to register, it takes about 15 mins but you can speed things up by pre-registering at home.

Food and Drink

We have a great cafe on site that does breakfast & Lunch. Situated next to climbing wall, it has plenty of indoor seating for you to relax in.

The Old Smokery has a Bar and lounge and there is plenty of outdoor and covered seating.


Toilets are plentiful and have disabled access and facilities.
