Job title: Multi Activity Instructor (Full time & Part time)

Wage: Pay based on age, experience and qualifications (CWI etc).  Over 20s start at £11.44ph


Starting: April 2024


Job description: Far Peak Climbing Centre have built a strong reputation as the Cotswold's premium outdoor activity provider.  We are looking for motivated individuals who share a passion for adventure sports for all ages.  With 5 acres of outdoor woodlands, a dedicated climbing centre and a range of indoor/outdoor activities, the Multi Activity instructor must be able to provide an exciting, fun and informative session - with safety and welfare of participants paramount throughout.

  • Climbing
  • Caving
  • Bouldering
  • Archery
  • Virtual Shooting range
  • Outdoor Adventure and Team building games
  • School groups experiences
  • Escape Room Experience
  • Bushcraft


Working Pattern: Weekends and Bank Holidays (essential), Minimum 30hrs a week including evenings.



Person Specification:

  • Full training will be provided for all activities
  • First Aid training desirable
  • CWI or RCI qualifications desirable
  • Clear DBS enhanced check
  • Ability to engage with customers (especially parents and young children)
  • Friendly, approachable and polite
  • Have experience of working with groups (6 or more)
  • Punctual with pride in their appearance
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Pro-actively seek to ensure Far Peak is seen to be fun, safe and professional
  • Passionate about climbing and the outdoors


Responsibilities:

  • Use our online booking systems to check in customers and members for activities
  • Work with groups of children and adults (or both) to provide adventure sports experiences
  • Ensuring the correct Health and Safety operating procedures are followed at all times
  • Keeping all PPE and facilities equipment safe and tidy
  • Ensuring the centre rules and protocols are abided by at all times
  • General upkeep of the grounds and facilities
  • Answering phone/email enquiries efficiently and professionally (when required)

 

Pre requisites:

This can be a very busy/high energy role during our peak season, so this person must be organised and efficient. A MT climbing award, Archery GB award and First Aid training are desirable.
